Buzz and Beep Vibrating Meditation Timer

The Buzz & Beep Vibrating Timer is the perfect small timer for meditation, yoga, massage, or any function where a silent timer is needed. There are separate buttons for Hours, Minutes, and Seconds so it is quick and easy to set. A small switch sets the timer in either a vibration and beep mode or in the vibration mode alone. The vibration makes a humming sound, but is gentle enough to use for meditation practice.

  • Measures 2-1/2 inches wide by 3 inches tall by 1-1/8 inch thick
  • Weighs less than 4 ounces
  • Has separate Hours, Minutes and Seconds setting buttons
  • Has a Clear button to reset the time to Zero
  • Switch on the top sets the timer to Buzz & Beep or to Vibrate only
  • Uses 2 - AAA batteries (included)
  • Large 1/2 inch display makes the timer easy to read
  • Stop Watch Feature - press the clear button and then the Start button to count up
  • The timer does not have a clock or alarm function

    Times meditation well

Posted by bruce on Mar 14th, 2016

    1. Nicely designed and finished.
    2. Buttons well placed, easy to remember and find in the dark. Possible to set new time by feel.
    3. Buzz is fine, a tolerable sound. The beep is about right for meditating in Times Square. Not a problem, I just won't use the beep.
    4. Nice to have a timer at a reasonable price.
    5. Nice to have a timer that is small and easily carried in a pocket. I did not want something designed to need an altar or table.
    6. Nice to have a timer that does what is needed and nothing else. I did not want a bunch of extra buttons and functions.

    Not exactly silent

Posted by Ken F on Dec 11th, 2015

I wanted a timer that would vibrate silently so that I could meditate and not disturb people who might be nearby. However, this one buzzes so loudly on vibrate-only mode (even with a piece of felt between the batteries and the casing) that it completely fails at what I wanted it to do.

    Nifty gadget

Posted by Lilias Darcy-Fox on May 28th, 2015

Nice design and very convenient as a portable meditation timer. I am quite pleased with it. I wish someone would invent a similar one with the sound of a bell or a gong at a price from about £30 downwards.

    Perfect for our needs!

Posted by Janet Stevenson on May 1st, 2015

We have been looking for the right timer for our meditation pod for months and were so pleased to find this one. The fact that it can be set to buzz and beep or just buzz is wonderful. It is extremely easy to set and operate, so we feel comfortable with our clients working it themselves. And the price was definitely right.

Finding a suitable timer for meditation

Posted by Judy Riley on Feb 16th, 2015

The Polder Buzz, Beep, Vibrate timer is what I expected, and does its job ok. It was packaged well & arrived in UK in time for Valentine's Day! I appreciate the efforts to reduce the volume of the unit by affixing a piece of felt. However, the vibrate volume is still much too loud for my requirements, and I don't like the repetitive "buzz." At present, I haven't been able to store my chosen meditation time, either.
I appreciate that this is a cheap [inexpensive] product. Customer Service Note: Pressing the CLEAR button twice will recall your previous setting.

Polder buzz, beep and vibrate meditation timer

Posted by Unknown on Oct 16th, 2014

The unit does what it says it will do. The only problem I see is that the buzzer sound seems quite loud and can not be adjusted from I can see. Vibrate element seem ok - not intrusive. My rating is based on the volume of the buzz-beep sound.

    Very helpful

Posted by Willow Myers on Sep 25th, 2014

This buzzer is very helpful and keeps me from having to glance at the clock if I need to get up from sitting by a certain time. I can be set by the hour or minute and can also be used as a very quiet alarm. I just used it at a retreat and it was quieter than my alarm and helpful for not disturbing my roommate. It doesn't tell time, but works good for what it's meant for.

    More Flexibility would be Nice

Posted by George Silver on Aug 16th, 2014

This does the basic tasks of a timer, but as a meditation timer it lacks features I have found elsewhere. The main "flexibility" I'd like is a way of setting quiet alarms at regular or random intervals during the meditation period. These can be used to remind you that time is passing and can bring you back to your breath or to whatever other meditation object you may be using.

Good features are that it's easy to reset the timer to the previous meditation time, The buzz and the beep are quiet and it's easy to hear the buzz with the beep turned off. Also if you position the timer just right, it's possible to read the number of minutes without a lot of squinting or moving of the timer to catch the light during your meditation interval.

    Vibrate or buzz alarm

Posted by Unknown on Jul 9th, 2014

The buzz is too loud for meditation, but good if you have something cooking. I hoped the vibration was a little stronger, yet friendlier, but it works for the price.
