Our classic Zafu Meditation Cushions are now available with organic fabric. The cover is made of 100% Organic fabric and is certified by SKAL - an international non-profit inspection body of organic products.

The Kapok fibers and Buckwheat hulls that we use in all of our cushions are organic and natural.

Kapok grows wild on trees and requires no fertilizers or chemicals. Kapok is naturally resistant to pests, mold, and fungus. Kapok has a long history of use as a filler for flotation devices.

Buckwheat grows rapidly, is naturally resistant to insects, and requires no pesticides or other chemicals during cultivation.

These fillers are generally not certified organic because they grow naturally without any chemical additions. For more information on these fillers, visit Organic.org.

These Zafu Meditation Cushions are equivalent to our Economy Zafus. The Kapok or Buckwheat Hulls are contained directly in the Certified Organic Cotton Cover.
