The Zafu and Zabuton Meditation Cushion Set includes one Zafu (round cushion) with your choice of Buckwheat Hull or Kapok fill and one Zabuton (rectangular mat) filled with cotton batting. Each cushion is available in an Economy version where the fill is directly enclosed in the 100% Cotton Twill fabric in your choice of color, or a Deluxe version where the fill is enclosed in muslin fabric and the cover in your choice of color is removable and washable. Mix and Match colors as you wish.
The Zafu cushion is the traditional round meditation cushion used by meditators everywhere. This is a durable and supportive cushion for sitting meditation and, when turned on its edge, can be used for kneeling meditation known as Seiza. The height of this cushion is perfect for most people regardless of height, weight, or level of flexibility. The Buckwheat Hull fill can easily be adjusted through the zippered opening that is hidden in the pleat directly across from the carry handle of the cushion.
Both the Deluxe and Economy Zabuton are filled with dense cotton batting with tufting stitches through the cotton batting to prevent the batting from bunching up. The Deluxe Zabuton has a removable cover in your choice of color - the cotton batting is sewn into muslin fabric. The Removable Cover of the Deluxe Zabuton produces a smooth surface. The Economy Zabuton does not have a removable cover - the cotton batting is sewn directly into the cotton twill fabric in your choice of color. The Tufting Stitches of the Economy Zabuton produces a dimpled surface.

My legs didn't fall asleep!
This is a very well made set for meditation. The covers are washable which is a big plus. The zafu cushion is very firm so I was able to balance on it with no problem. My legs usually fall asleep using these cushions in the past but not with this one. The bottom cushion is a great size and good cushioning for your legs. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Very, very happy with this purchase. The Zafu is very comfortable and makes it very easy to mediate. Likewise, the meditation cushion supports my legs comfortably. Very quick shipment and delivery. Definitely recommend this set.

Zafu/Zabuton set -great but hard to get on and off of
I just tried to meditate with the cushion and Zafu and found the zafu difficult to get on and off of . I think this is more MY issue than the products bc I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so I probably should have gotten the cotton filled [Kapok] Zafu- it might have been a bit softer. I have problems getting on and off it and the zafu was much too hard for my joints. I got it in Royal Blue- it's gorgeous! The fabric is lovely. I'm hoping that if I use it more often it will mesh to my behind and that will make it more comfortable. I also may try putting the set on my bed or my sofa that way it will be easier for me to get on and off of it. If anyone has any other suggestions, please contact me! Again, it's a lovely set- I think it's just my body is rejecting it right now! But even with the RA I think that I'll find a way to make it work (and my daughter had no problem getting on and off of it and she has Lupus and another type of arthritis so again...I think I was having a bad day!).

I'm totally in love with my cushion set!
I had originally placed my order with another company and immediately did not like the "customer service", so I cancelled that order and found Sage. I was impressed with the ease of getting thru the site and totally excited about how fast the process was and how fast I received my items! The quality is great!!!!! ☺

Deluxe Zafu/Zabuton Set
I hesitate to give a "star" rating to this product since I have not owned anything similar before, however, the zafu and zabuton I received are of good quality in materials and workmanship. The royal blue color is deeper in hue than my computer is able to display and more to my liking for that. My order was on my doorstep in 2 days and Sage Meditation's Customer Service responded quickly when I had an issue with the payment process. This set is just what I need to help me establish my meditation space in my home, allowing these 60 year-old knees and hips to sit in greater comfort. Very happy with my purchase.
