Manipura

Solar Plexus chakra, the seat of vitality and personal power.

Location: Solar plexus, the mid-upper belly.

In Sanskrit: Mani (gem or jewel) Pura (dwelling place or city).

Governing: The mental body, our vitality, spontaneity, strength of will, self esteem, inner strength, and ambition.

Manipura is weakened by feelings of grief and guilt, using unhealthy power (gossip, put downs, toxic language toward oneself or others) by low self esteem, not feeling equal or enough.

Manipura connects us to the continuous process of forming our ego identity, our self definition. Helping to balance a sense of vitality, energy, personal authority our healthy power ( ie: encouraging and inspiring others in all ways), and self control. Manipura is denoted by the color yellow.

Mantra: I believe in who I can be. With willpower, strength and honesty I continuously create my self. I accept my mistakes and walk forward in life with conviction, and purpose.
